Me and Vanessa walked just over 5km this weekend in memory of our friend Beatriz, a 13 year old. She was diagnosed with spine cancer in March last year and 3 months later she sadly passed away. She was an active young lady just growing up. Her family wished to do something good this year in her name and decided to fund raise for the Shooting Stars Childrens Hospice who provided care for Beatriz in her last days and continue to care for children who are terminally sick. I accepted the challenge to walk 5km this weekend and make a donation/raise funds to support the cause.
